How many gallons of gas can be refined from one barrel of oil.?

A U.S. barrel of oil contains 42 gal. With conventional thermal

cracking I beleive it yeilds about 25 gal. They can get more with

cold, chemical processing by actually converting other petorleum

carbom strands into carbon chrystals that can be used in octane

(gasoline) fuel. With the current prices I would suspect that a

barrel might be yeild 60% I don't know what the max limits would

be.How many gallons of gas can be refined from one barrel of oil.?
Wow, No idea... but that's a dang good question! I'll be checking back for the answer....
