They are different parts of the oil. By refining you are splitting what is useful as fuel (different kinds) and what may be used to make plastics.Of the oil we import or refine how much goes to gas and how much goes to making plastic?
Good question, I would assume that most of it goes for gas, I hope somebody answers with a link so I can find this out also. Thanks for the question.
